S G Trott has been trading as a Limited Company since August 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Simnon Trott was a Sole Trader carrying out Sub Contract Carpentry Packages for Tarmac Construction, Tilbury Douglas, and Martini Rossi.
Since August 2000, SGT Contruction has expanded and has had turnovers in excess of £4 million.
As a Main Contractor, SGT Construction has successfully completed contracts covering construction from foundations to completion. Our team always works to high standards and we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver a final product of very high quality.
Throughout the history of the Company we have worked on Listed Properties and complex Conservation Projects. We have vast experience of dealing with Planning and Conservation Officers, and liaise closely with these officers to discharge ongoing planning conditions.
Below is a brief history of some of our key contracts:
- 1998 – 2001 Conversion of South Western House, Southampton
The conversion of a flagship building in the heart of Southampton, from offices to 110 luxury apartments. Value of works completed was approximately £1 million. - 2001 – 2005 – Knowle Village, Fareham, Hampshire
This was a major conversion of a Victorian Hospital along with new build phases comprising approximately 600 units. Many different packages and projects were completed by this Company over this time, to the value of approximately £3 million. - 2003 – 2007 – St Georges Barracks, Gosport, Hampshire
Again this was a major conversion, which this time was of Army Barracks, to luxury apartments, and also included new build phases. Again many different packages and projects were completed by the Company to the approximate value of £2.5 million. - 2006 – 2007 – Piggot Court, Horsham, Sussex
As the main contractor this project was from groundwork’s to completion. The site comprised of 4 blocks totalling 44 apartments, to the value of £3.5 million. - 2007 – 2008 – Portsmouth Road, Esher, Surrey
Construction of 10 units comprising luxury detatched houses, and luxury apartments. As main Contractor this project was from groundwork’s to completion. This contract was to the approximate value of £2.5 million. - 2009 British Embassies in Damascus, Syria and Tblisi, Georgia
Working in secure areas of Embassies, completing a high specification fit out. All staff had Diplomatic Vetting Clearance. - 2010 - 2011
Conversion of live/work units to luxury apartments in a Barn Conversion in Marshfield. Various refurbishment and maintenance works at Sparsholt and Andover Colleges. A major refurbishment and loft conversion to a private dwelling in Woking, Surrey.
